Abstract:
In recent years, neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) have attracted widespread attention due to their roles in immune response and inflammation. Platelets have been shown to play a dual role as both stimulators and responders in the formation of NETs. In this review, we comprehensively describe the molecular mechanisms underlying the interactions between NETs and platelets. Additionally, as both NETs and platelets serve as key mediators in sepsis, we will also discuss their regulatory functions in sepsis, aiming to provide new approaches and insights for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sepsis.
