Abstract:
Last year marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of two giants of world immunology-Milan Hašek and Jaroslav Šterzl. The following text is one of the articles in a special issue of Folia Microbiologica commemorating the "golden age of Czechoslovak immunology" associated with these two figures.
