Sleep disturbances are increasingly recognized as a modifiable risk factor for female infertility. This review summarizes epidemiologic evidence, clinical outcomes, and the mechanistic insights linking sleep-disordered breathing, poor sleep quality, and short sleep duration with impaired reproductive function and reduced success rate of in vitro fertilization. These findings highlight the importance of integrating thorough sleep evaluation and coordinated multidisciplinary care into standard infertility treatment protocols to optimize reproductive outcomes.
