Abstract:
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) plays a fundamental role in the diagnostic pathway of pancreatic cystic lesions (PCLs), particularly by providing high spatial resolution and real-time assessment. Technological advances, including contrast-enhanced harmonic EUS and high-sensitivity Doppler techniques, further improve the characterization of various subtypes of PCLs, especially by helping to estimate their malignant potential. This review aims to describe the role of EUS in the assessment of the main pancreatic cysts, according to the latest literature, and to provide practical tables to support its integration into clinical practice.
