The integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) into eHealth represents a transformative shift in the design, development, and deployment of digital health solutions. GenAI is reshaping healthcare by enabling personalized care, automating clinical workflows, reducing clinician burden, and supporting predictive interventions. Moreover, it enhances patient engagement, facilitates adaptive therapeutic strategies, strengthens medical education, improves care quality, and operational efficiency. Its adoption, however, requires addressing ethical, technical, and implementation challenges through coordinated stakeholder efforts and rigorous, domain-specific evaluation. The study systematically conducts a literature survey to identify and analyze the key opportunities and challenges associated with GenAI integration in healthcare. Furthermore, this offers a roadmap to guide future research and technological development aimed at optimizing clinical 5 efficiency and advancing overall healthcare quality.
