Abstract:
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a sleeping disorder which can lead to severe health consequences. Information gaps in the patient's diagnostic path may result in duplicate examinations, while patients wait long for sleep diagnostics. We propose an architecture for standardized sleep data exchange along the OSA patient diagnostic path. Our system consists of extended and interconnected established components for biosignal storage and electronic patient data and is entirely based on open source software. Specifically, our system supports sharing of all necessary data in the diagnostic path, from overnight biosignal recordings to patient questionnaires, demographics, and clinical data. Clinicians interact with a web-based user interface that provides an overview of all patients' documents and integrates with a processing environment for envisioned AI model usage. Multifactor authentication, fine-grained access control, and a modular structure support compliance with regulations on data protection, healthcare data, medical devices and the AI act.

Nursing Clinical Information System
A Nursing Clinical Information System (NCIS) is a specialized type of healthcare information system tailored to meet the unique needs of nursing practice. It incorporates the principles of nursing informatics to streamline information management and improve the quality of care delivery.
Critical attributes of NCIS include:
Pulse rhythm
Conversely, an irregular pulse pattern is termed dysrhythmia, stemming from disruptions in cardiac muscle...

Understanding Sleep
The circadian rhythm, a nearly 24-hour cycle, is deeply influenced by environmental light cues. Light exposure directly affects the hypothalamus, which in turn regulates...
