Introduction:
Mobile blood drives can reach underrepresented donors, yet their planning rarely uses data-driven optimization.
Methods:
We designed a digital twin with a four-layer architecture integrating GIS analysis and MILP optimization. Six accessibility indicators feed an objective function maximizing expected donations under operational constraints.
Results:
An illustrative scenario shows evening slots yielding ∼25% more donations than midday, with Thursday evening peaking at 33-34 expected donations.
Conclusion:
This proof-of-concept demonstrates the feasibility of combining spatial analysis and mathematical optimization for equitable blood collection planning in Geneva.
