Digital health (DH) platforms have become popular in recent years. While intervention development follows frameworks, the visual design assessment of these platforms remains underexplored. This study introduces a Graphic User Interface (GUI) appraisal rubric for the systematic evaluation of the visual design of DH platforms used in clinical research. It aims to reduce subjectivity in GUI evaluation, enhance usability and comprehension, and promote interdisciplinary communication between healthcare and technology professionals.
