Multimodal Ultrasound Findings of Pediatric Inflammatory Myofibroblastic Tumor in the Liver: A Case Report

Abstract:
An 8-year-old girl with persistent dizziness was discovered to have a lesion in the liver. Abdominal CT and MRI both favored the diagnosis of focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH). In contrast, multimodal ultrasound suggested a malignant nature of the lesion, for which biopsy was recommended. Following multidisciplinary consultation, the patient underwent laparoscopic resection of the lesion. Histopathology confirmed a borderline inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of the liver. Postoperatively, the patient's clinical symptoms improved significantly, and she was discharged in stable condition.
