Background:

The global public health landscape faces dynamic challenges from emerging infectious diseases, evolving vaccination needs, and climate-related health risks.
Strategic planning and workforce preparedness are crucial for navigating these complex and rapidly changing health threats.

Purpose of the Study:

To consolidate and analyze recent international and national public health intelligence for strategic planning.
To inform policy development and enhance workforce preparedness in response to current health challenges.

Main Methods:

Systematic review of over 1,000 intelligence outputs from January to September 2025.
Thematic analysis across six domains: emerging infectious diseases, vaccination, antimicrobial resistance, sexual health, environment and health, and public health systems.
Categorization of intelligence items by theme, action type, and relevance.

Main Results:

Identified resurgence of measles and mpox, and expanded avian influenza surveillance.
Highlighted updated vaccination guidance for COVID-19, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), and influenza.
Noted priorities in antimicrobial resistance monitoring, rising sexually transmitted infection (STI) rates, climate-sensitive diseases, and digital preparedness.

Conclusions:

Integrated horizon scanning and evidence review are vital for robust public health intelligence.
