Background:

  • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease.

  • Computed tomography (CT) is essential for diagnosing thoracic manifestations in SLE patients.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the spectrum and frequency of thoracic manifestations of SLE using CT imaging.
  • To identify common and less frequent CT findings in SLE patients.
  • To correlate thoracic findings with extra-thoracic manifestations.

Main Methods:

  • Prospective, cross-sectional observational study over 18 months.
  • Included 60 adult SLE patients referred for chest CT.
  • Utilized high-resolution CT, contrast-enhanced CT, or CT pulmonary angiography based on clinical need.
