Resilience and Resistance Among Holocaust Survivors: Lessons Learned

Purpose:
This study used an existing database to explore the relationship between resilience and resistance among Holocaust survivors.
Method:
A qualitative constant comparison approach was applied to revisit the dataset repeatedly, refining and organizing the data into thematic categories.
Discussion:
A comprehensive analysis showed that participants engaged in behaviors that can be understood as forms of resistance.
Conclusion:
While additional research is needed, the findings suggest a strong connection between behaviors characterized as resilient and those interpreted as resistant.
