Background:

- These coexisting lesions, documented in 20 cases to date, represent a unique biological process and a model for studying transdifferentiation and tumorigenesis.
- This study reports novel associations, including MLA with lower GI-type mucinous tumors, MLA with mucinous adenocarcinoma, and independent bilateral ovarian involvement by MLP/MLH and mucinous borderline tumor.
