Adolescent obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) severity is linked to poorer executive functions (EF), specifically cognitive flexibility. Sensory processing characteristics were associated with OCD severity but not independently with EF outcomes in this study.

- OCD symptom severity is independently linked to cognitive flexibility-related executive function deficits in this population.
- Further research with longitudinal and comparative designs is needed to clarify the directionality and clinical significance of these findings.
