Summary

The Rome criteria for intraoperative parathyroid hormone (ioPTH) monitoring during parathyroidectomy offer superior diagnostic accuracy compared to Miami criteria. Both internal jugular vein and peripheral sampling methods are effective, with Rome criteria showing better results.
