Summary

The Nordic hamstring exercise (NHex) activates the biceps femoris long head (BFlh) more in plantar flexion (PF) than dorsiflexion (DF). This finding is crucial for optimizing NHex to reduce hamstring injury risk, particularly for the vulnerable BFlh muscle.
