None:
Foodborne transmission of Clostridioides difficile is strongly suspected, particularly through poultry fresh meat products. In this study, C. difficile was detected in 1.5% of chicken thighs (n = 271) but in none of the cutlets (n = 194). RT001 was one of the toxigenic ribotypes identified, and cgMLST analysis showed no close relationship with any previously sequenced human strains.
