To the best of our knowledge, this study reports the first case of laparoscopic local resection of the stomach performed using an ANSUR surgeon-controlled robotic assistant for a gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumor. A 63-year-old man with a gastric submucosal tumor underwent local resection of the stomach using ANSUR, which provided camera guidance and traction, allowing the completion of the procedure with limited assistance. The operating room configuration and port placement were optimized for the surgeon's ergonomics and procedural efficiency. The operation was completed safely, with minimal blood loss. The patient recovered uneventfully and was discharged. Pathological examination confirmed the presence of a high-risk gastrointestinal stromal tumor with clear margins. This case demonstrates the feasibility and safety of surgeon-led laparoscopic gastric surgery with ANSUR and offers practical guidance for operative setups in future cases.
