Abstract:
A 63-year-old woman presented with a pruritic rash on her back. Clinical examination revealed erythematous linear lesions resembling whip marks. She confirmed eating undercooked shiitake mushrooms, confirming the diagnosis of shiitake dermatitis. This case highlights the rising incidence of this rare toxic reaction in Europe due to increased shiitake mushroom consumption.
