[Expert recommendations on key technical points for implementing adult vaccination services]
Abstract:
Expanding vaccination from children to adults is one of the vital measures to achieve health protection for the entire population throughout the life course. Providing adult vaccination services through routine immunization points of vaccination (POVs) can maximize the utilization of the existing vaccination service system, reduce investment, and enhance the accessibility of adult vaccination. However, standardized service guidance for implementing adult vaccination at routine immunization POVs is currently lacking. This expert recommendation presents key technical points on adult vaccination service management, recommended vaccine immunization programs, vaccine supply, vaccination appointments, vaccination implementation, training and capacity enhancement, and science popularization, and proposes pathways for adult vaccination capacity evaluation and enhancement, aiming to provide technical guidance for routine immunization POVs.
