Abstract:
Cosmetic penile enhancement represents an expanding field characterized by increasing demand, limited evidence, and significant ethical complexity. Though reconstructive interventions remain essential in the management of anatomical and functional pathology, their extension to the augmentation of normal anatomy remains difficult to justify. In this context, the reconstructive urologist must adopt a measured and principled approach, prioritizing patient safety, rigorous assessment, and ethical restraint. Ultimately, responsibility lies not in the expansion of cosmetic practice, but in safeguarding standards of care and maintaining the integrity of reconstructive surgery.
