Abstract:
Fibroadenoma is a benign neoplasm with high prevalence in women but is rare in dogs. Its giant variant is defined by the lesion's size (exceeding 5 cm) and weight. The standard treatment is surgical excision. The objective of this study was to demonstrate that the subclassification of giant fibroadenoma, as described in humans, can also be observed in female dogs, as evidenced by four cases analyzed. The evaluation comprised macroscopic examination and histopathological analysis, underscoring the importance of differential diagnosis and the characterization of this condition in the canine species.
