None:
Horseshoe intralobar lung sequestration, an extremely rare morphology of the sequestrated lung expanding toward the contralateral thorax, remains insufficiently described. We report a case of an 80-year-old man with lung cancer in the left lower lobe combined with a horseshoe lung sequestration originating from the right lower lobe. The decision of surgical procedure was challenging because bilateral lower lobectomy was considered intolerable for the patient owing to his advanced age and comorbidities. We decided to perform surgery targeting only the lung cancer, because the patient had no history of hemoptysis or pneumonia, resulting in a favorable postoperative course.
