Summary

Two novel suture techniques, the locking whip stitch gift box (LG) and Krackow epitendinous baseball stitch (KB), enhance Achilles tendon (AT) repair by increasing failure load and reducing elongation, respectively. The nonlocking whip stitch gift box (WG) technique is insufficient for AT repair.
