Abstract:
A monolithic catalyst (monolith-TPP-Co-HZ) with abundant amine sites exhibits strong chemisorption of CO2 and a CO2/N2 selectivity of 55. Under mild conditions (15% CO2/85% N2, 25 °C), the monolith converts propylene oxide to cyclic carbonate in 76% yield (turnover frequency (TOF) = 24 h-1). This work offers a new approach for the development of integrated catalytic systems for the catalytic conversion of low-concentration CO2.
