Objective:
To report a clinical case involving the esthetic rehabilitation of anterior teeth with enamel opacities, diastemas, and unsatisfactory restorations in a patient with molar-incisor hypomineralization, utilizing a resin composite layering technique in combination with resin tints to achieve a conservative and harmonious outcome.
Clinical Considerations:
A 29-year-old male patient presented with complaints related to white enamel opacities, an unsatisfactory restoration, and anterior diastemas. Treatment involved the removal of existing restorations, the application of gray resin tints to mask the opacities, and the execution of direct composite restorations using a stratified layering technique. This conservative approach enabled minimal tooth reduction and enhanced optical integration with the surrounding dental structures.
Conclusions:
The combined use of resin composite stratification and resin tints proved effective in the management of enamel opacities while preserving healthy tooth structure. This approach represents a conservative and aesthetically satisfactory alternative for the treatment of developmental enamel defects, particularly in the anterior region.
