Abstract:
In 2024, thirty-nine new small molecule drugs were approved worldwide. A brief introduction to each new drug is followed by the synthetic details that highlight the most scalable routes available at the time of publication in patents or primary literature. Structural complexity varies widely across the drugs that are included in the review, as do the methods of synthesis used to access these new drugs.
