Abstract:
The growing global population, limited resources, and increasing technological demands highlight the urgent need for advanced energy-storage solutions. In this context, designing covalent triazine-based frameworks (CTFs) at low temperature as electrode material is economically and practically advantageous. Herein, we present a CTF material, TCPP-CTF, constructed from 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-cyanophenyl)porphyrin (TCPP) monomer at low temperature (∼50°C) using the solvothermal method. Characterization of the resulting framework structures was carried out by infrared (IR) spectroscopy, solid-state 13C CP/MAS NMR analysis, elemental analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and gas sorption measurements. The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface area of TCPP-CTF is 712 m2 g- 1. The synthesized electrode materials showed a high specific capacitance of 249 F g- 1 at a scan rate of 10 mV s- 1 in three-electrode configuration, owing to the presence of donor-acceptor units in the framework that enhance intramolecular charge transfer. The CTF also ensured excellent cycling stability even after 10000 cycles.
