BackgroundGlobal aging trends indicate a substantial increase in the older population, alongside rising rates of chronic illness and greater care needs. Preventive health strategies are essential to mitigate healthcare costs and improve quality of life.ObjectiveThis study proposes a conceptual preventive health model for older adults by integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior with the Life Situation framework.MethodsA cross-sectional study was conducted with 400 older adults enrolled at the Antalya Tazelenme University. Validity and reliability of data tool were assessed using exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha; relationships among variables were examined using multiple linear regression.ResultsThe LS dimensions significantly influenced the TPB components, which in turn predicted intentions and behaviors related to preventive health (R2 = 0.598).ConclusionThe proposed Pro-Aging-Health Model provides a framework for developing preventive health strategies tailored to older adults.
