[Strategic considerations for strengthening clinicians' impact on childhood respiratory disease vaccination]
1Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control, Beijing 100013, China.
Abstract:
Childhood vaccination is an effective means of preventing respiratory diseases, as it can effectively reduce the risk of children contracting respiratory illnesses and developing severe complications, and decrease antibiotic usage. Clinicians frequently interact with children's parents or guardians and serve as a trusted source of health information, playing a critical role in vaccine recommendations. Clinicians' recommendations can significantly influence parents' willingness to vaccinate and their decision-making. This article explores the current importance of clinicians in vaccine recommendations, as well as the challenges and issues they face, and proposes ways to strengthen clinicians' influence in promoting childhood respiratory disease vaccination. The aim is to further improve vaccination coverage for childhood respiratory diseases and safeguard children's health.
