Output Prediction-Based Event-Triggered Interval Estimation for Continuous-Time Switched Systems

This article proposes a dynamic event-triggered interval observer (DETIO) based on output prediction for continuous-time switched systems. The output prediction method enables continuous output estimation between event-triggered updates. A new set-membership approach is introduced to construct interval observers (IOs) for switched systems, which eliminates the conventional Metzler matrix requirement on $A-LC$ and significantly enhances design flexibility. Moreover, the proposed IO can simultaneously address both time-invariant and time-varying disturbances, thereby improving estimation accuracy. The simulation results on the RCL circuit model demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.
