Background:

  • Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a rare and aggressive brain tumor.
  • Accurate prognostic models are crucial for guiding treatment decisions in PCNSL patients.
  • Existing prognostic factors for PCNSL may not fully capture disease complexity.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To develop and validate a novel predictive scoring system for overall survival (OS) in newly diagnosed PCNSL patients.
  • To incorporate age and the systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) into a prognostic model.
  • To assess the utility of the scoring system for disease risk stratification.

Main Methods:

  • A retrospective study included 55 PCNSL patients with available data.
  • Age (≥ 65 years) and high SIRI score (≥1.43 × 10^9/L) were identified as prognostic factors.
  • A 0-2 point scoring system was developed and validated in an external cohort.
