Functional single ventricle (FSV) is a complex congenital heart defect characterized by a single functional ventricle responsible for supporting both systemic and pulmonary circulations.Patients with FSV may undergo non-cardiac surgeries at various stages of life, and their unique anatomical and physiological features present significant challenges to anesthetic management. This case report describes the perioperative anesthetic management of a patient with FSV who underwent epicardial pacemaker implantation.Particular attention is given to the preoperative evaluation and intraoperative strategies, providing clinical insights for the anesthetic care of patients with similar congenital cardiac anomalies.
