Immunomodulatory and Antimicrobial Effects of Pd(II)-Pincer-Type Complex

A novel palladium(II) complex shows significant immunomodulatory effects on mouse splenocytes, enhancing cytokine production. The complex also demonstrated weak to moderate antimicrobial activity against bacteria and yeast.

Background:
- A novel palladium(II) complex, [Pd(L1)Cl]Cl, with L1 = N2,N6-bis(5-methylhthiazol-2-yl)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide, was synthesized.
- This complex previously exhibited significant in vitro antitumor activity.
