Summary

Biomarker research for nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) hypersensitivity is concentrated in a few phenotypes, primarily NSAID-exacerbated respiratory disease. Most studies remain in early discovery stages with limited validation.

    • The current body of NSAID hypersensitivity biomarker literature is concentrated in a narrow phenotypic range.
    • Research predominantly remains in the exploratory phase, lacking robust validation for clinical translation.
    • Future research should emphasize phenotype harmonization, diagnostic anchoring, standardized biospecimens, and independent validation.
