Background:

Emergency nurses in Palestine experience chronic stress from political instability, resource limitations, and trauma exposure.
These stressors may impact psychological resilience and Advanced Life Support (ALS) competency.
Limited evidence exists on the interplay between resilience and ALS skills in this population.

Purpose of the Study:

To map the literature on psychological resilience and ALS competency among Palestinian emergency nurses.
To identify research gaps in this field.
To explore the relationship between psychological resilience and ALS competency.

Main Methods:

A comprehensive scoping review following PRISMA-ScR and JBI guidelines.
Searched seven electronic databases and grey literature (January 2000 - January 2026).
Data synthesized descriptively using narrative synthesis.

Main Results:

18 studies met inclusion criteria; most were descriptive or correlational.
High burnout (64-72.9%) and significant gaps in Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS/ALS) knowledge were reported.
Only one intervention study on BLS training; no studies assessed resilience or integrated interventions; no studies linked resilience and ALS competency.

Conclusions:

The literature is dominated by descriptive studies with a lack of intervention research.
Critical evidence gaps exist regarding psychological resilience and ALS competency.
Future research should focus on intervention-oriented studies addressing psychological wellbeing and clinical skills.
