Abstract:
RNA modifications represent a crucial layer of post-transcriptional regulation, yet their dynamic landscape during testicular maturation remains largely uncharted. In this study, we employed Nanopore Direct RNA Sequencing to generate a comprehensive epitranscriptomic dataset for porcine testicular tissue at pre-sexual and post-sexual maturation stages. This dataset captures the profiles of four RNA modifications (m⁶A, m⁵C, Ψ, and inosine) across these critical developmental time points. We further characterized the global abundance, distribution, and motif features of these modifications. This resource provides a valuable foundation for elucidating the epitranscriptomic mechanisms governing mammalian testicular development and spermatogenesis.
