Abstract:
The genus Helina Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 is one of the most species-rich genera in Muscidae, yet mitochondrial genomic resources remain scarce. Here, we present the first complete mitochondrial genome of Helina trivittata (Zetterstedt, 1860). The mitogenome is 18,959 bp long and contains the typical set of 37 mitochondrial genes, with an overall AT content of 82.01%. Phylogenetic analyses support the monophyly of Phaoniinae and recover Helina as the sister group of Phaonia. This study provides a useful genomic resource for future evolutionary and systematic investigations of Muscidae.
