Thyroid hormones free triiodothyronine (FT3) and total triiodothyronine (TT3) are linked to reduced cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in older adults. Biological aging, measured by phenotypic age acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel), partially mediates this protective association.
