Abstract:
The article examines the features of the development of computer literacy courses for the older in Russia and the Republic of Belarus, as well as barriers to the development of such courses and possible ways and prospects for the development of digital technology and knowledge education for the older. The empirical basis of the study is an analysis of similar course programs implemented in Russia and the Republic of Belarus over the past five years and scientific publications on the topic of information and communication technologies education for the older in the two countries. As part of our analysis, we identified the main common features of the development of information and communication technologies courses for the older in Russia and Belarus, and also identified a number of differences in the development of such courses. The main prospects for the development of such courses were highlighted and the importance and significance of the digital socialization of the older and the development of programs for the integration of the older into the digital environment in Russia and Belarus, as well as opportunities for such integration, were noted. The study also noted the development of such courses and key trends in the development of such courses in the two countries.
