[n-Alkane oxidation by propionic acid bacteria].

    Summary

    Propionic acid bacteria can oxidize n-alkanes, with optimal oxidation of C15 and C16 chains. This study reveals a novel metabolic capability in these bacteria, expanding our understanding of hydrocarbon biodegradation.
