Introduction:
Developing effective educational strategies to enhance nursing competencies is essential, particularly in community health settings. This study developed a home-visit nursing simulation program for frailty prevention in older adults and evaluated its effectiveness among nursing students.
Methods:
A quasi-experimental one-group pre-post design was used. Participants were 50 undergraduate nursing students. Repeated measures ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted.
Results:
Clinical judgment and clinical performance showed significant improvements after the simulation, whereas self-efficacy did not show a statistically significant change. Simulation quality was positively associated with clinical judgment and clinical performance.
Discussion:
These findings suggest that home-visit simulation may be a useful educational strategy for enhancing clinical judgment and clinical performance in nursing education. Self-efficacy appeared to be more closely associated with major satisfaction than with simulation quality.
