Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) identified unexpected penile involvement in a patient with T-cell lymphoma. This imaging technique is crucial for detecting rare, asymptomatic disease sites in aggressive lymphomas.
Area of Science:
- Oncology
- Nuclear Medicine
- Radiology
Background:
- T-cell lymphomas are rare cancers often affecting sites outside lymph nodes.
- Penile involvement is an exceptionally rare presentation of lymphoma, with most reported cases involving B-cell histologies.
