Abstract:
NBS-driven oxidative O-S cross coupling reaction for sulfonylation of phenols and alcohols with sodium sulfinates is presented. This operationally simple and environmentally benign strategy proceeds under mild conditions and exhibits excellent functional group compatibility. Moreover, the utility and potential synthetic value of this methodology were well demonstrated through the modification of bioactive molecules.
