Immunity gaps for several vaccine preventable diseases in Norway

Many adults and children have low immunity to diphtheria and tetanus, despite childhood immunisation programs. This study suggests rescheduling the DTP booster and adding DTP vaccines to adult vaccination schedules.

- Low IgG levels against diphtheria and tetanus are prevalent in both children and the elderly in Norway.
- Findings support rescheduling the DTP booster and incorporating DTP vaccines into adult immunization programs.
