Abstract:
In response to the problems of traffic noise pollution, material UV aging, and rain and snow erosion faced by urban elevated bridges, a multifunctional material with efficient sound absorption, UV aging resistance, wear resistance, and hydrophilic and breathable properties has been developed. Polyaniline/wool felt (PANI/WF) and polyaniline/pre-oxidized felt (PANI/PANOF) composite materials were prepared by loading polyaniline on the surface of wool felt and pre-oxidized felt base fabric through an in situ polymerization method. The properties of sound absorption, UV resistance, wear resistance, wettability, and moisture permeability were systematically tested. PANI/PANOF has a sound absorption coefficient of 0.48 at 5380 Hz, a UPF value of 568, can block more than 99% of ultraviolet rays, has a wear resistance of 12574 times, and also has hydrophilic and moisture permeable properties; PANI/WF has a sound absorption coefficient of 0.272 and a UPF value of 446 at 5390 Hz, which can block over 99% of ultraviolet radiation. This material can be used as the sound barrier panel of viaducts to simultaneously solve the needs of noise reduction, anti-aging, drainage, and durability, and promote the development of green and smart transportation.
