Absence of PD-1 expression on TFH and TFC cell subsets correlates with severity of multiple sclerosis

Purpose of the Study:

Conclusions:

  • PD-1- TFH/TFC cells producing IL-21, IFN-γ, and IL-17 are significantly elevated in MS patients.
  • These specific TFH/TFC cell subsets are associated with key indicators of MS severity, including neurological disability and disease activity.
