Abstract:
We appreciate the recent interest in our article by Singh & Srivastav with their comment on our recent manuscript entitled "Effect of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist on outcomes after elective total hip arthroplasty: A retrospective cohort study". We appreciate the thoughtful insight and critical evaluation of our manuscript. Every study has limitations and studies should be evaluated within the confines of those limitations. Our database study was not without limitations. The insight by Singh & Srivastav is important and the authors should be commended for their insight. However, the methodology and evaluation of associations evaluated in our study provide important information for surgeons regarding the use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist medications in total hip arthroplasty.
