Abstract:
Cooperative hydrogen-bonding interactions and Brønsted acidity of HFIP enable metal- and acid-free cascade sulfenylation to access 3-sulfenyl-2H-chromenes, dihydroquinolines, and dihydronaphthalenes via thiirenium ion intermediates.

Electrophilic Addition to Alkynes: Halogenation
