Frontiers in medicine·2026

We developed the Bead-based One-Step aptamer Selection (BOSS) method for efficient aptamer generation. This new method successfully identified high-affinity aptamers targeting Arabidopsis CONSTITUTIVE PHOTOMORPHOGENIC 1 (AtCOP1) for synthetic biology applications.

Area of Science:

  • Synthetic Biology
  • Molecular Biology
  • Plant Science

Background:

  • Aptamers are crucial tools in synthetic biology due to their specific binding capabilities.
  • Traditional aptamer selection methods like SELEX are inefficient and prone to non-specific binding.
  • Developing novel aptamer selection techniques is essential for advancing synthetic biology applications.
